Mama Doula Care

There’s so much information out there, and it's overwhelming having the right support can completely transform your journey.
Choosing a doula means you already understand how important this time is.
I offer care that comes in 3 necessary parts, informed antenatal, Connected birth & empowered postpartum. We nurture relationship, know each other well, I learn all your wants & needs so a I can support in the best way for you.

My caesarean birth support is designed to offer calm, continuous, and practical guidance as you prepare for a positive caesarean experience. We'll get prepared with birth techniques and get informed on all the options we have open to us with a caesarean. I’ll support you emotionally and informatively—helping you to feel reassured, confident, and prepared every step of the way.

This is time that’s just for you. Whether you want to talk through your birth story, cry, laugh, vent, or simply sit quietly, I’m here to listen with compassion. We can explore the emotional, physical, and hormonal changes you’re experiencing, and I can share what’s typical for newborns so you can feel more confident in your role as a parent. My aim is to help you feel heard, validated, and less alone in the transition.

Doula support doesn’t have to be in person to be powerful. My virtual doula offering gives you all the emotional, practical, and informational guidance of a doula—delivered online, wherever you are. You’ll feel reassured knowing that I’m just a message or call away, here to walk alongside you throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early postnatal days.
About Me
I’m Emily — a birth and postpartum doula, hypnobirthing teacher, and yoga teacher based in Stoke Newington.
For over 18 years, I’ve supported women through yoga — holding space as they navigated stress, grief, fertility, pregnancy, birth, and motherhood. Long before I trained as a doula, I was witnessing the quiet intelligence of women’s bodies. I was observing hormones shift, emotions rise and fall, nervous systems move between survival and softness. I’ve spent nearly two decades helping women come back to themselves.
My work has always been about connection — to the body, to breath, to instinct.
Through yoga, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the parasympathetic nervous system — the part of us that governs rest, safety, digestion, and birth. Birth unfolds most powerfully when we feel safe. When the nervous system softens. When we are supported rather than managed. This understanding shapes everything I do.
I’m practical and grounded — I like information to be clear, useful and rooted in reality. But I also work with intuition and heart. True preparation for birth is both mental and physical. It’s understanding hormones and physiology, and it’s also building self-trust.
As a doula, I show up in service to the mother.
I see you. I listen. I meet you where you are.
There is no single “right” way to give birth or become a parent. My role is not to direct you, but to support you — emotionally, physically and practically — in the way that feels most aligned for you. I help you explore your options, understand the NHS maternity system with clarity, and feel confident making informed decisions. I am experienced in navigating the maternity system and advocating for personalised, respectful care.
Motherhood changed me in the best ways. I’m mother to my five-year-old daughter — my greatest teacher and joy. Her birth — what I often call “the one of many things” — was powerful, imperfect, and transformative. It deepened my understanding of how birth can shape us, and it’s what led me to dedicate myself fully to this work.
I live in Stoke Newington with my partner, our daughter, and our dog — a little corner of London that feels like a village. Community matters deeply to me. Birth doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens in relationship.
I believe we are evolving how we live, how we birth, and how we parent. When women feel safe, informed and supported, something shifts — not just for them, but for generations.
My work is about helping you prepare practically, regulate your nervous system, understand your body, and trust yourself.
To feel grounded.
To feel held.
To feel truly seen.
