CONNECTED POSTPARTUM: RETURN TO SELF
A gentle, nourishing workshop for mothers after birth
Birth is not the end of the journey. Postpartum is a profound physical, emotional and hormonal transition—and while so much attention turns towards your baby, there is often very little space for you.
Return to Self is a warm, supportive workshop created to bring some of that care back to the mother.
This is not about “bouncing back”, fixing yourself or trying to become who you were before. It is an invitation to slow down, listen to your body, reconnect with yourself and feel held within everything that has changed.
Together, we will explore:
• Nervous-system settling and finding small moments of safety within the intensity of new motherhood
• Gentle breathwork, sound and grounding practices
• Releasing tension from the jaw, shoulders, chest, belly and pelvis
• Supportive postnatal movement to help you reconnect with your body
• Belly holding and nurturing touch
• Rest, warmth and nourishment during postpartum recovery
• Identity, relationships and the emotional transition into motherhood
• Recognising what you need and finding language to ask for support
• Simple tools to return to when you feel overwhelmed, depleted or disconnected
There will be space for honest conversation, questions and shared experience, without any expectation to share more than feels comfortable.
We will move gently, breathe, rest and finish with a deeply nourishing relaxation and sound practice.
You do not need to return to the person you were before birth.
This is about meeting yourself where you are now—softly, honestly and without judgement—and remembering that you deserve to be cared for too.
Your booking includes:
• A spacious, supportive in-person workshop
• Gentle movement, breathwork, sound and deep rest
• Time for conversation and questions
• A digital Return to Self companion to revisit at home
• Simple practices to support your nervous system and recovery
• Tea, nourishment and a calm space for you
Held at Mudra Yoga London next date late March TBC
Places will be limited to keep the space intimate, calm and personal.
