Birth Courses

HSM_Shape 2_Shape 2 10.png

This learning can take place either in person or online, at a time that suits you.

A one-to-one format is especially supportive, as the course is fully tailored to your individual wants and needs. This allows us to go deeper into the areas that feel most important for you, while offering the flexibility to arrange sessions around your schedule. Once you book, I will be in touch to organise dates that work best.

This is a comprehensive combined antenatal and hypnobirthing course.

We will begin with two in-depth sessions focused on:

    •    Understanding birth physiology — what happens during birth and why

    •    Birth planning (including night-time birth preparation)

    •    Understanding the maternity system and your birth rights

    •    Exploring all potential birth pathways and how to navigate them

    •    Learning how to support whatever may arise

We will also include forward-planning for the early postnatal period, covering:

    •    What to expect in the early days after birth

    •    Feeding your baby

    •    Rest, nourishment, and healing

Our final sessions focus on hypnobirthing, with elements gently woven throughout the course. These sessions include:

    •    Hypnosis and guided relaxation

    •    Breathing techniques

    •    Movement and comfort measures for labour

    •    Practical tools to support your birth experience and beyond

Doula Support

Our antenatal and hypnobirthing course is run by two local doulas who bring real-life birth experience to help you feel truly prepared for a happy birth day.

This comprehensive, hands-on course covers every element of navigating the NHS maternity system with confidence, breaking free from the fear–tension–pain cycle, and understanding the physiology of birth and how to optimise it with practical tools.

We support and guide birth partners so they feel ready to show up in the way you need them most. Together, we work through real-life scenarios you might encounter—exploring what’s happening, why it happens, and the choices you have at each step.

You’ll learn how to create both a birth plan and a flexible labour plan, and we’ll share practical biomechanics and physical techniques to help your body prepare for birth. We’ll also cover planning for postpartum, feeding, recovery, nutrition, and baby care.

You’ll receive a downloadable course manual (PDF) along with key printouts to keep handy for your preparation and practice. We also include several example birth plans and other helpful tools to support you in navigating this time with ease.
