Why you need a doula?

A doula is your steady, knowledgeable, and compassionate guide through pregnancy, birth, and beyond. While birth partners, family, and medical teams all play important roles, a doula offers something unique—unwavering emotional, physical, and informational support that is entirely focused on you.

Birth is an incredibly personal and transformative experience. It can also be unpredictable, and in those moments, a doula helps you stay connected to your instincts, your choices, and your power. They create a calm and grounded environment, ensuring that you feel safe, heard, and respected—no matter how your birth unfolds.

Having a doula can reduce stress, decrease medical interventions, and help you navigate labor with confidence and clarity. Their presence allows you to move through birth feeling supported, informed, and in control of your journey. A doula being presented is predicted to guarantee a more supportive birth no matter the outcome. But you ned to find your doula, it's very important that you resonate fully with your person.

Birth Doula

What is a Birth Doula?

A birth doula is a trained professional who provides continuous emotional, physical, and practical support throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth. They do not replace medical professionals but instead work alongside them to ensure that you feel empowered in your experience.

A birth doula’s role includes:

• Helping you prepare for birth with knowledge and confidence.

• Offering comfort measures like breathwork, massage, movement, and positioning.

• Creating a calm, supportive birth environment.

• Advocating for your birth preferences and helping you navigate decisions.

• Offering reassurance, encouragement, and emotional support for both you and your birth partner.

Whether you’re planning a home birth, hospital birth, medicated, unmedicated, or cesarean, a birth doula is there to ensure you feel held, informed, and in control of your experience.

Postpartum Doula

What is a Postpartum Doula?

The transition into parenthood doesn’t end after birth—it’s just the beginning. A postpartum doula provides essential support in the early days and weeks after your baby arrives, helping you recover, adjust, and settle into your new rhythm with confidence.

A postpartum doula’s role includes:

• Supporting physical and emotional recovery after birth.

• Helping with newborn care, feeding support, and sleep guidance.

• Holding space for your emotional well-being, listening without judgment.

• Offering practical support such as light household help and meal preparation.

• Encouraging rest, self-care, and a smooth transition into life with a newborn.

Postpartum can be an intense and overwhelming time, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. A postpartum doula ensures that you feel nurtured, supported, and empowered as you step into this new chapter.

So what do you get with my doula support?  The answer is as simple as whatever you need!

Postnatal Support & Care- 4 Week Care-£450

Helping you navigate postpartum with care, reassurance, and practical assistance.

This could mean listening and helping you find confidence and trust in yourself. It could be cleaning and caring for your home so you can rest, enjoy, and be with your family. Maybe it’s suggesting helpful, supportive tools for the transition into life with a newborn.

This also includes breastfeeding support and care. I have good knowledge and am always learning more, but sometimes you may need a lactation specialist to find the best support for you both—I have many recommendations for this.

The post natal care package means I'm on call 48 hours after birth, to support in anyway you need.  I will then visit each week 2/3 hours, offering any care, connection, emotional support etc you feel is best.  We can make the sessions closer together like 2 in one week we can work with what is best week by week.
