Life is full of change. Some changes we welcome with open arms, and others arrive uninvited, shaking the ground beneath us. Our natural instinct can be to run, distract, or try to rush through these moments. But what if the greatest gift is not in escaping change, but in sitting with it?

When we allow ourselves to pause and be present in the unknown, something shifts. We stop fighting against the current and begin to notice what it’s teaching us. Change often holds up a mirror, showing us parts of ourselves we might otherwise miss.

Sitting with change doesn’t mean doing nothing—it means breathing into the moment, listening, and trusting that the path is still unfolding, even if we can’t see the full picture yet. It’s in this stillness that clarity arrives, that we learn who we are, and that we find our way forward.

So next time you feel life pulling you into something new or unexpected, try not to run. Instead, breathe, soften, and stay with it. You might just find that this moment of change is where you meet yourself most deeply.

A Gentle Practice to Sit With Change

🌸 Pause & Breathe

  • Find a quiet spot and close your eyes.

  • Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.

  • Inhale slowly through your nose for a count of 4, hold for 2, then exhale gently for a count of 6. Repeat for 5 rounds.

🌸 Reflect

Ask yourself:

  • What is changing for me right now?

  • What part of me is resisting?

  • What might I learn if I stay present with this?

🌸 Close with Gratitude

Whisper a thank you—to yourself, to the moment, to the path unfolding.
